Remote Learning in Suffield Park

There may be a time during this school year where your child has to self-isolate with their family or as a result as partial or full school closure. It is essential that your child does not miss out on learning during this time.

After listening to parental views via our survey we have ensured that our learning opportunities can be accessed by all. This will be a mix of online and offline activities.

In the case of self-isolation

Your child has been provided with an exercise book and stationary (if it was requested). Inside you will find the expectations for home learning for your child’s year group. This will also include relevant passwords for websites your child can access.

In the case of bubble isolation (partial or full school closure)

Tapestry is now in use across the whole school and will be used every day during a bubble closure. Tasks and activities will be posted daily and there is an expectation that all children complete these. We would like you to share your child’s work on Tapestry so children can receive feedback from their teacher.

If your child needs to self-isolate or undertake remote learning because of partial/whole school closure due to Covid19 here are some suggested web links:

For phonics games/activities/activities:

The priority is to read daily, please share books together, use your child’s phonic key rings to practise recognising and blending letter sounds to make words and record reading in their red reading record book.

Try to complete a daily maths challenge and discuss/share an activity relating to the weekly topic. We would also encourage a physical activity daily, such as skipping/hopping/jumping.

Please post photos or videos via Tapestry so staff can view, comment and answer any queries.
