Pupil Premium

Since April 2011 money has been designated to schools to support children from low income families who are eligible for free school meals.

In 2013/14 Suffield Park Infant and Nursery School has received £36,214 pupil premium money.

Analysis of the both the school and Nursery tracking data and information from staff has identified several areas where children receiving free school meals would benefit from extra support. These include:

  • Speaking and Listening skills on entry to the Reception classes
  • Writing in Key Stage One
  • The emotional needs of some pupils
  • The possibility of families needing support for extracurricular activities.
